Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of police response towards DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals shows for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
