Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as an anchor for morning news on WCBD TV and also as a crime reporter. Her articles from Charleston, about how the Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell was awarded an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter.
